Page Title in H1 Tags – How to Understand SEO Techniques
At the beginning of your page is where you enter your H1 tags as shown in the picture below. Your H1 tag should be placed above any other heading tag. If you Have content written to the right of your page you should make sure that the H1 tag is above that because this is where it will be more effective for your site to be found on search engines telling them what’s it’s all about.
The H1 tag should describe the topic of your page without the use of too many words. You can see the H1 Tag below, a large version of the titles you use afterwards which are H2 Tags mentioned later in this post.
The heading H1 tag is optimized for users, while the page title is shorter and SEO friendly. H1 tag is different from Page title and is search engine friendly in terms of implementation of keywords. The main difference between a page title and an H1 tag is that the page title is shown in the browser window and search results while the H1 tag is only shown on the page itself.
It is common to have multiple H1 heading tags in different parts of your page and in your website’s theme or other sections. With the addition of having multiple H1 elements or multiple heading tags of the same type on a page is completely fine and will show you understand SEO techniques and overall ranking with the content you use under the H1 Tags.
Keyword at the Start of Title Tag
Place your keywords at the start of your title tag and place the keyword as close to the beginning of your title as possible. That’s so search engines will see the keyword early for your content to be ranked for people to read your content.
It’s preferable that the keyword is close to the top for best results and for search engines to find the keywords to know what your content is all about.I’ve added an image below to show you where to place your keyword at the start of your post.

Links That Are Working Properly
When your website gets indexed so your content can be listed and ranked on google you’ll need to know that it’s all working properly especially the links. Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink and click the hyperlink symbol on your page. Type in the words you want to link up and press the OK button and it should be ready to go. Open a new page and test that the link is going to the correct page.
When you turn text into a hyperlink, it automatically underlines the text. If this formatting doesn’t fit in with your design scheme, you can get rid of it. Remove it as you would any other underline formatting. Select all the underlined text and click the underline button on the Formatting bar. The hyperlink remains, but the underlining is removed
- On the Insert tab, click Hyperlink. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Hyperlink on the shortcut menu.
- In the Insert Hyperlink box, type or paste your link in the Address box.
An inbound link is also referred to as a backlink and is a hyperlink on a third-party web page that points to a web page on your site. Your inbound links may be links from one page to another to pinpoint the value of your content by sending a customer somewhere on-site that can answer all of his/her questions. It’s something that search engines like because it shows that your site is connected by interesting pages or posts that relate to what the customer is reading about on your website.
Outbound links are links that are meant to take you elsewhere. These are links that are going to direct you to another specific web page or website altogether. It’s said that you should always avoid external links, because a) they send people away from your site, and b) you don’t have control over the material on the other end of the link.
If the website you link to was to change the content it could cost you a customer if they feel misguided. The best way to keep people from leaving your site via outbound links is by opening them in a new browser window and outbound links should always be tagged as no-follow so you don’t dilute the equity of your page.
Keyword in Meta Description
Most websites these days have a meta description and although it said that this is not really necessary it can improve your website’s content for search engine purposes in reading your meta description so it’s clear what the website is about. From the picture below you will notice around 155 characters been used as a maximum amount to explain about the website.
You should stick to your brand voice and tone, but also keep it conversational and include your main keyword if you can do so naturally without sounding obvious to the search engine and don’t overuse your keywords inside the keyword meta description. Don’t forget to add a call to action where you can mention, ”Get More Here” Always try to write in active voice and write naturally.
Optimize Image Alt Tags
Optimization of image alt tags will help you to improve accessibility and user experience. Optimizing images with alt text will provide greater relevance to search engines about your content and help drive traffic to your site The question is: Should alt text be a core focus of my SEO strategy? Many would say that content in the header with keywords is important but whatever you can do to improve your website a little will, in turn, help it a lot when you have lots of pictures and content.
Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is an extension of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). It is used for secure communication over a computer network and is widely used on the Internet. Secure Communication: HTTPS makes a secure connection by establishing an encrypted link between the browser and the server or any two systems and is important in keeping your website safe from hackers.
Using an SSL certificate and HTTPS is the easiest way to secure an address, but there are a few other things you can do to prevent hackers and malware from compromising your website. With 90% of websites using it across Google it’s safe to say that it’s the safest way to encrypt files and secure your website. Migrating to HTTPS is the only way to encrypt sensitive data in transit between browsers and web servers.
An SSL certificate essentially confirms that your website is secure and able to transfer encrypted information back and forth between your server and a person’s browser. You’ll usually have to pay a yearly fee to maintain your SSL certificate from your domain provider. Excellent by now you’re well on your way to learning how to understand SEO techniques.
Your website speed is important to keep customers on your website. Thinking about your website on all devices and how your website loads on them are important. Consider a great platform to build your website and create content on. By implementing too many pictures and not downsizing them can see your website loading up slow.
I use Wealthy Affiliate to host my websites because they have a testing tool to show the speed of each page that I need to see so that I know that my pages load up fast on mobile phones and on a PC. Keeping Customers On-Site – How to Understand SEO Techniques
Keeping customers on-site is not easy and it’s said that a customer may only spend around a few seconds on your website to find the best answers to their questions but what if you could keep customers on board and have them spend lots more time reading your material?
This post is an example with picture examples that could keep customers on-site not to mention keeping them interested in content on how to understand SEO techniques for a better overall experience when learning about how to create an online affiliate business. My reading material is open to anyone that wants to read it and has access to over 70 posts about affiliate marketing to date.
Try Fulfilling your headline’s promise that gives to customers what it reads and keep to your plan to have them delighted to have found exactly what the title mentions. You could also add a call to action at the end of each post and use engaging videos to express your message on what you are trying to relay to your customers.
If, you have implemented a ”Thank You” page try keeping the customers engaged to sell another product. Make sure you reduce page loading speed so that pages open quickly for a fast response from your customer to engage faster and buy from you more than once.
Content Reading Level
Good readers learn from their reading and, as they do so, learn more about reading overall. Think about reading a new author, for example, or reading about an unfamiliar topic. As you read, you gradually learn more about how to read that piece of writing.
This is how you should think about your customer to learn more from your content often reading it more than once if they’re using it for a project they are involved in be it a research project or product review. Your writing should relay a touch of teaching into it.
Creating a Website Audience
Once your website has a great audience you can begin to make your writing more difficult not to read but more in-depth to reach the desired answers you’re trying to give your customers as they keep returning back for more ideas from you or to buy a product and because as your learning SEO your content can reach a more expert audience.
Most of the content written on Freedom to Roam Marketing is easy to read but still has the keywords within the content to be search engine friendly. I’ve added content to attract affiliates of all levels.
I want you to jump on board the training I have completed at Wealthy Affiliate to become exceptionally good at building websites to sell products online and to improve your content writing level for great implementation of ideas, reviews, posts and articles.
Synonym Driven Content
A synonym is a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word or phrase in the same language. Try using content synonyms such as full, satisfied, pleased, gratified, contented, willing, resigned to give your content more description for your customers, showing strength to the meaning of your content and how to create both meaningful contents with feeling on how something feels, tastes or looks like.
Length of Content
Generally, the length of your content depends on the reason for your content. It could be an in-depth breakdown of a difficult subject such as language learning techniques that take quite a lot of content to explain the reason for each language rule.
Reviews sometimes don’t need as much content although enough to break down the quality of a product, enough to explain what a product does, tastes like or feels like with plenty of descriptive words.
Too many people put too much of an emphasis on the average word length for articles and the misunderstood importance of having more than a certain number of words on each page to rank well. … Give users what they want regardless of how many words it takes to say it.
Depth of Content
Content depth has been a major rankings factor since at least 2010 when Google’s MayDay update started penalizing articles for being too thin. How things have changed with many in-depth articles used to explain anything from a holiday to an online product.
People are writing far more in-depth articles these days than before and have ceased skimming the service of a subject to write twice as much about nothing. Sometimes there can be little on-topic information for an explanation of a product or a service and customers simply leave. If you’re going to write in-depth original content spend as much time as you can with research and content implementation.
Writing posts that were anywhere from 1,000 to a few thousand words way back in time were really effective especially with google but the competition became hard to compete with so people began to write longer more in-depth content-driven pages or posts.
These days it’s more about the quality of the content and how to review more effectively with fewer words. People seem to be blogging at around 500 to a 1000 words per post at the moment and are really going to work on there content for it to be ranked in search engines.
As long as the content is 100% correct and on topic word for word with great keywords by following my post here on how to understand SEO techniques you’ll learn far more about making business work for you know matter how many words your posts and reviews need you’ll be on the right track to succeed.
A bounce is when a user visits a single page on your site and then exits without visiting another page or interacting. Bounce rate is the percentage of all sessions on your site in which users bounced. One of the reasons for this can be due to your website running to slow and not keeping customers intrigued to read more of your content.
With pages loading up slow and pictures even slower if they are not scaled down enough can cause many problems with your onsite traffic. There are lots of reasons for slow pages that I’ve mentioned here on how to understand SEO techniques which can cause a high bounce rate with customers leaving your site earlier than required to click your links to buy products or read more content.
These days it’s hard to compete with millions of other websites that have the same niche let alone have unique content. The key here is to arrange your content in a way that means you have planned and used patience as part of your plan.
Plan and structure content with H1 and H2 headings and research as much as you can to arrange your content in such a way customers will react to it in a positive way. Write in order of your headings and subject content and follow this pattern in all of your content throughout your project.
The downside to not competing for original keywords is that customers may have read other reviews from other websites that compete far better than yours because they have written well-balanced on topic keyword-rich content. Often customers leave websites to read somewhere that has original, well written, in-depth content with lot’s of useful synonyms and character making the website more unique and favoured to their choice.
Page Title in H2 Tags
As explained earlier about the page title H1 tags you know that these are the main titles for your main content subject which is different from the H2 tags. H2 tags are used more after the H1 tag is subheadings for giving information about products or services you may sell.
The h2 tag is a subheading and should contain similar keywords to your h1 tag. Your h3 is then a subheading for your h2 and so on. AS your content flows so does your H tags in order of size.
